Media reports As per reports, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, which has earned over Rs 100 crore in India in just 3 days of its release, is doing well in the weekdays as well. The film is said to have earned over Rs 18 crore on this Monday. It maintained the same performance on Tuesday as well and collected between Rs 14 to 16 crores. On Wednesday, the film collected around Rs 15 crore. It is believed that this film can do business above Rs 200 crore in India by reaching the first week of its release.

The film’s collection can jump further in the weekend, because the Christmas festival is coming. However, this week Rohit Shetty directed and Ranveer Singh starrer Circus is also going to release. It has to be seen what kind of response people give to the circus.

Calculating the 6 days collection of Avatar 2, it has so far collected around 180 crores in India. It is better than the collection of many big Bollywood films. For example, this year’s Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan’s Vikram Vedha grossed Rs 78 crore. Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu earned Rs 71.87 crore. The lifetime collection of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s Lal Singh Chadha stood at Rs 58 crore. If Avatar 2 maintains this pace, then it can leave behind the lifetime business of Ajay Devgan’s Drishyam 2.

The film has collected a whopping $435 million (roughly Rs. 3,598 crores) at the global box office in its opening weekend. This is the story ahead of Avatar which came in the year 2009. The film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Kate Winslet, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Britain Dalton. Avatar: The Way of Water released in over 3,800 screens in India.
