The world is once again shaken by the new wave of Corona. Infection is increasing rapidly in many countries including China, Japan, Brazil, America. In such a situation, the risk of infection has increased even inside India. In view of the increasing cases across the world, the central government has swung into action. If the sources of the Ministry of Health are to be believed, random sampling of international passengers for Kovid-19 has started at the airports of the country from today i.e. December 21.

If sources are to be believed, samples will be taken randomly for Covid-19 test of international passengers coming from various countries including China. Four cases of Omicron’s BF.7 variant, which is believed to be responsible for the surge in COVID-19 cases in China, have been reported in India so far.

Meanwhile, NITI Aayog Member (Health) Dr. VK Paul on Wednesday advised people to get vaccinated and wear masks in crowded places. He appealed to the people not to panic. Paul made the statement after a review meeting held by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya amid a surge in Covid cases globally and especially in China.

At the same time, Mandaviya said in a tweet that in view of the increase in cases of Kovid-19 in some countries, reviewed the situation with experts and officials today. Covid is not over yet. I have asked all concerned to be vigilant and increase vigilance. We are ready to deal with any situation. At the same time, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan had said in a letter to the states and union territories that such an exercise would help in timely detection of new variants in the country and facilitate necessary public health measures.
